Islam is my Identity!

Big Question: Why do people need Religion?

As salaamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)

There are so many other reasons why people need religion, not only the beginning our existence. Here are just a few of them: a moral reminder, the idea that we are not alone to struggle through life, the idea that there is some higher purpose to our existance, and that there is life after death for ourselves and our loved ones.

There are too many religions. There is too many understanding. Each one claim they are the one. After death no money, no material mean in this life can help you or go with you in your second journey. In fact all of us know that our wealth or whatever we own or we think we own cannot benefit us once we die. For example, how many elder people who are extremely sick are suffering for years until they die and all this time their own wealth cannot help them out? “Big Fact.” There are many other examples. Look around your life, people around you and you will discover where is your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, what they take with them is nothing.

This is the call to humble yourself to the Power of the Almighty One and to wake up from the illusion and the high circle of life. However old you are, however healthy you are, soon or later, you will be elder and you will die and unseen journey will start.

The Almighty is one. His book should be one. His message should be one to mankind. No discrimination, no color, no status, nothing except the desire and the need of his guidance. And when we say his guidance, we do not mean He is a male. But the Creator, the Almighty One is not a male, not a female. There is nothing similar to Him. He is the Creator, we are the creation. He has no need of anyone of us, but all mankind and creation is in need of Him. He knows you. He sees you. He knows what is good for you and what can harm you. If you submit to Him, He will make it easy for you and show you the way to get to the ultimate happiness, to Heaven, to Paradise, for happiness infinity.

Have you ever really thought why do we really need faith? God’s knowledge, His wisdom, to tell us how to reach and gain His mercy and pleasure. This is why the Almighty Creator sent messengers and prophets with books to guide us to show us the way. For power, ego, arrogance, and belongings human being refuse and they become rebellious and they finished. King after king, emperor after emperor, palaces and all is gone. This is the truth. By this way we need faith, we need the way of life to lead us physically and spiritually, body and soul to be united only to gain the guidance, the light, and wisdom of Almighty. And this is what it means religion. We are inviting you to the last call before the Day of Judgment, before the End of Time, individual, by getting old or sick and die, or collective as mankind. We see how right now human being madness after material life and what is due to them. It destroys them, lonely, unhappy, even committing suicide, because they cannot take it anymore.

May be lot of people in the world understand this fact and this is the reason, According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Islam is the world’s fastest-growing religion by number of conversions each year: Although the religion began in Arabia, by 2002, 80% of all believers in Islam lived outside the Arab world. In the period 1990-2000, approximately 12.5 million more people converted to Islam than to Christianity. According to the BBC, a comprehensive American study concluded in 2009 the number stood at 1 in 4 with 60% of Muslims spread all over the Asian continent. Islam continues to draw followers at an estimated rate of 135,000 converts per year. During the Gulf War alone, it was reported that approximately 3,000 Americans converted to Islam. To read about few famous people who have reverted to Islam, read my post – https://knowthestraightpath.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/list-of-few-famous-people-reverted-to-islam/

So People wake up and realize the fact that There is a God, who is Almighty and every human has a purpose in his life.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path..Aameen.

Why Islam, Christianity & Medical Science Prohibits Pork?

As salaamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)!

God created us with a purpose; to worship Him, but He did not abandon us to a world of instability and insecurity. He gave us a book of guidance, the Scriptures, and the example of Prophets and Messengers to explain that trusting in God was the way for us to achieve success in this life and in the hereafter. I will be touching on just few main points on this topic In sha Allah.

A Believer spends his or her life endeavouring to please God by worshipping Him and obeying His laws, or rules. One of those rules is that the eating pork, or pork products is forbidden.( Quran and Bible both Forbids Eating Pork)

Nowadays knowledge about ingredients and the manufacturing process is readily available and the prohibition applies whether there is a small amount of pork or pork products, or a large amount.

Virologists have long been aware that the pig is an ideal breeding ground for influenza, so it is no surprise that the latest threat, swine flu, originated in pigs. Microbiologist and immunology expert, Dr Graham Burgess says, “Viruses that would normally grow in the chicken can potentially grow in the pig and ones that grow in humans will potentially grow in pigs. So we consider the pig a great mixing pot for viruses and this is where it can play a real role in generating new viruses”.

The pig is known to harbour parasites as well as bacteria and viruses. Cysticercosis is an infection caused by the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium. Infection occurs when the tapeworm larvae enter the body and form cysticerci (cysts).

When cysticerci are found in the brain, the condition is called neurocysticercosis. This tapeworm in pigs is found worldwide but is most problematic in poor and developing countries were pigs are allowed to roam freely and often eat human faeces. This infection can occur even in modern developed countries but the CDC reports that it is very rare in Muslim countries where eating pork is forbidden.(http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/cysticercosis/factsht_cysticercosis.htm)

Trichinellosis, also called trichinosis, is caused by eating raw or undercooked meat of animals infected with the larvae of a species of worm called Trichinella. Infection occurs most commonly in certain wild carnivorous (meat-eating) animals but it may also occur in domestic pigs. The CDC warns that if a human eats meat containing infective Trichinella cysts, the acid in the stomach dissolves the hard covering of the cyst and releases the worms.

The worms pass into the small intestine and, in 1-2 days, become mature. After mating, adult females lay eggs. These eggs develop into immature worms, travel through the arteries, and are transported to muscles. Within the muscles, the worms curl into a ball and encyst (become enclosed in a capsule).

This infection occurs when these encysted worms are consumed in meat. The number of cases of trichinellosis throughout the world has steadily decreased due to an awareness of the dangers of eating raw and undercooked pork products and legislation prohibiting feeding raw meat garbage to pigs. (http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/trichinosis/factsht_trichinosis.htm)

The prohibition of eating pork in Islam is relevant in this context. There is a saying in English that “a man becomes what he eats.” According to physicians and medical experts, pork is a harmful diet. Consumption of swine-flesh creates lowliness in character and destroys moral and spiritual faculties in a man. According to a report, 60 to 70% of girls in Sweden become mothers before marriage. The formula of “skin to skin is no sin” is taking its toll but there is hardly any feeling of shame or remorse over the end-result. Since the European nations have become addicted to wine and pork, sexual freedom with all its attendant evils has got ingrained in their culture. Consequently, homosexuality has been legalized by the British Parliament.

Pigs are omnivores, which means they consume both plants and animals. Pigs will scavenge and eat any type of food, including dead insects, worms, tree bark, rotting carcasses, garbage, and even other pigs. Pigs have very few sweat glands so therefore they are unable to completely rid their bodies of toxins. New evidence indicates that farming practices are leading directly to the spread of human bacterial infections.

Pigs often live in the small spaces and fetid conditions that exist in many modern factory farms and studies are revealing that pigs frequently harbour antibiotic resistant staph bacteria. This drug resistant bacterium is now entering our food supply and recent investigations in the United States of America indicate that 49% of pigs and 45% of pig workers now harbour these bacteria responsible for killing more then 18,000 people in the US every year. (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=sick-farms-infected-food) & (http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=new-drug-resistant-mrsa-in-pigs).

Dr. Glen Shepherd wrote the following on the dangers of eating pork in Washington Post (31 May 1952).
“One in six people in USA and Canada have germs in their muscles – trichinosis 8 from eating pork infected with trichina worms. Many people who are infected shows no symptoms. Most of those, who do have, recover slowly. Some die; some are reduced to permanent invalids. All were careless pork caters”.
He continued “No one is immune from the disease and there is no cure. Neither antibiotics nor drugs or vaccines affect these tiny deadly worms. Preventing infection is the real answer.”

After reading the statement of Dr. Shepherd, one can realize that there is no real guarantee of safety when eating pork that one would not be affected by trichina worm. That is why modern doctors advise three prohibitions during illness: no liquor, no pork and no smoking.

Muslims follow the divine law which is much higher than the medical advice. The Glorious Qur’an says, “So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah has provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him you serve. He has forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swine-flesh and that which has been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, Lo! then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (16:114-115)

“For that surely is impure” (Quran 6:145)

Bible too prohibits pork, Lev 11:7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven-footed,yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Deu 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

Muslims refrain from eating pork and pork products because God has forbidden it. However a little investigation into the anatomy and lifestyle of the pig reveals that it is certainly an unclean animal. Those interested in consuming healthy, natural, and pure foods would do well to abstain from pork and pork products.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, Aameen.

Demanding Dowry by groom isn’t a Standard Begging?

As salaamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)

Dowry, which is usually defined as a “gift” given along with the bride by a bride’s family to the bridegroom, is used as a tool of coercion and greed in societies like India. The bride’s family must give this “gift” or the marriage will not take place. Always the price of the dowry is set higher than the bride’s family can afford, and, sadly, this results in the bride becoming a burden on her family. The bride’s family then struggles to pay the “gift.”

The practice of dowry given from the bride to the groom will only destroy the relation and society. It seems to be in imitation of ancient Hindu culture in which daughters were not given any share in the family property, but were given payments, part of which might be in the form of household goods, as a measure of compensation.

To an extent, dowry is responsible for many other social evils like female infanticides, killing of female babies immediately after birth, early marriage, various sorts of domestic violence against women, bride burning and so on and so forth. The Indian National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reports that there were about 8172 dowry death cases registered in India in 2008. Incidents of dowry deaths during the year 2008 (8172) have increased by 14.4 per cent over 1998 level (7146).

Dowry is over-discussed, but still remains prevalent in our society with all its strength. Dowry is such a nuisance which has been making our daughters a burden to their parents. In Islam, women are not ‘owned’ by their families and should not be ‘traded with’ in this manner. It is an insulting practice. Or an amount of money demanded from the bridegroom or his family by the bride or her family, usually the bride’s father, without which the daughter will not be given in marriage. In fact, it is a sale where even after the price is paid, satisfaction is not guaranteed. And ironically, the sale is never complete with marriage — the buyer is expected to keep paying in cash and in kind during festivals, to celebrate childbirth and to mark ritualistic occasions. Any excuse is good enough to keep the one-way street laden and moving with gifts.

Many of the men, so called religious and moderate thinkers, support dowry – directly or indirectly. They didn’t oppose it when it comes to their marriage. They become silent spectators when their parents demand dowry from would-be parents-in-law. They have the lame excuses of obeying parents. They didn’t bother to change the home in which they live in, as they have enough strength to change the evil customs. They disobey their parents in so many things which they should not, and when it comes to obey Allah and the Messenger, they realize of obeying parents. Remember, Obeying Allah and his Messenger has priority over everything else, even parents (ref: Al Quran 9:24)

In this era, there are many who demand dowry according to their status and qualification. Doctor, Engineer, MBA, etc. have their respective rates. In Islam, demanding dowry is completely prohibited, even cannot “hint” of demanding dowry. On the contrary, man should compulsory pay “MAHR” to would-be wife. The Glorious Quran commands men to give the required mahr in Surah Nisa (4):4 “And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer.” It further says in verse 19 of the same surah “O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will, and you should not treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the Mahr you have given them, unless they commit open illegal sexual intercourse. And live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good.”

We have standard beggars in our society, some begs in front of mosque, temple, church; some begs in public places and footpaths; while the others beg in front of parents-in-law, and these are the standard beggars of our society. These are the beggars who silently accept the donations given by their parents-in law.

In ISLAM the man pays and supports his wife, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, any place on earth where the family of the wife pays the husband is weak and backward, and the men are possibly cowards!!!!! As a whole Dowry is an evil and we must take steps to stop this Evil.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, Aameen.

Does Hijab of Muslim women cause deficiency in Vitamin D?

As salaamu alaikum warahamatullahi wabarakatahu

Since many years there have been a number of studies and subsequent articles on vitamin D deficiency in Muslim women who wear Hijab. If you do a subject search on Google, you can get almost 80,000 hits on the topic with lots of opinions and a whole bunch of dire warnings.

What is required of women in Islam is to cover the head and the entire body in front of non-mahram men, because Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful” [al-Ahzaab 33:59].

Hijab is a definite obligation for every Muslim woman. Deficiency in calcium and vitamin D is something that can be treated medically and by eating food that contains those nutrients, and by exposure to the sun in a place where there are no non-mahram men, such as exposure to the sun through windows, on the roof of the house, in remote parks, and so on.

Allah, may He be exalted, has prescribed and enjoined hijab, and He knows best about His creation and what is best for them. Sharee‘ah does not enjoin anything that causes obvious harm or considerable problems.

Following a medical study in which a number of doctors took part, Dr. Muhammad al-Shaakir (consultant in bone disease at the specialist King Faisal Hospital in Riyadh) rejected what has been said about women’s Islamic clothing playing a part in vitamin D deficiency and said: This theory has no connection to truth. Specialists think that one of the means of protection against bone disease is exposure to the sun so as to enable the skin to produce vitamin D. The Muslim woman’s hijab does not prevent her being exposed to the rays of the sun, because minimal daily exposure is enough to produce sufficient amounts of this vitamin.

It should be said to women who do not wear hijab for this reason: Fear Allah, may He be exalted, and beware of His Punishment; adhere to that which He has enjoined upon you, and stop making false excuses, for nothing is hidden from Allah; Allaah knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the hearts conceal (cf. Ghaafir 40:19). Seek remedies and treatments in that which Allah has not forbidden, and you will find it, in sha Allah.

Thus some study states that covering oneself with black cloth and rarely exposing the skin to sunlight does have a significant negative impact on the biological ability to synthesise vitamin D for the body.

Well-known consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Sadiah Ahsan-Pal from Karachi says “There is nothing wrong with covering yourself,” she clarifies. “But some women are using the wrong colour i.e. black and the wrong fabric i.e. synthetic to do so.” Instead it is recommended that they use light-coloured fabrics that breathe because they are made of natural fibres such as silk or cotton.

“Synthetic is not the appropriate fabric for this weather, it doesn’t allow your skin to breathe or your perspiration to evaporate,” cautions Dr Sadiah. “It has also resulted in the development of many skin and fungal infections and irritations. What is worse is that many people do not even connect the dots as to why this is happening though it’s fairly common sense.”

There is another factor that determines susceptibility to Vitamin D deficiency, Race, or more specifically, skin pigmentation. In one United Kingdom study researchers made the comment that “For certain ethnic groups there is an increased risk of vitamin D deficiency as people with dark and pigmented skin are less efficient at making vitamin D in their skin.”.

If some sisters are really afraid that they may face this health issue because of covering their bodies then let us see how can we help ourselves AND our families by getting the vitamin D that we need:

1. Drink Vitamin D fortified drinks like Milk, Orange Juice and some of the Vitamin Waters that have vitamin D in them naturally or added as a supplement.

2. Eat dairy products like cheese, butter and yogurt and fortified cereals that have vitamin D in them. Also eat canned mushrooms and egg yolks. “Fatty” fish like salmon also help with vitamin D. And if you can’t stand the taste of fish, hold your nose and gulp down some good old fashioned fish oil.

3. If you still won’t eat all of the D that you need in your food choices, take a multi-vitamin that has at least 600 units of Vitamin D in it or a Vitamin D tablet. But don’t overdo it! Remember, Muslims are supposed to be moderate in all things.

4. The easiest and best way to get the vitamin D that you need is the SUN! Big, bright thing…comes up every day? Sisters, there are ways to get a little tanning without compromising modesty. A safe amount of sun exposure is just 10-15 minutes which will get your body to produce Vitamin D naturally without being a hazard to your skin health. Sensible sun exposure means the exposure of arms and legs for 5-30 minutes (depending on time of day, season, latitude, and skin pigmentation) between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm twice a week..

Allah knows the best, May Allah help us all to do that which He loves and which pleases Him and guide us all to the straight path, aameen..

All Indian police communalised: Supreme Court lawyer!

As salaamu alaikum (Peace be Upon you)

Team Anna member and Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan Monday claimed that police across the country were “communalised”.

“Police throughout the country are clearly communalised. Narendra Modi has communalised the entire state through his propaganda campaigns,” said Bhushan, speaking after a documentary film show here to mark 10 years of communal riots in Gujarat.

“In August 2008 people’s tribunal, we saw a trend that police across the country systematically frame Muslims in terror investigations when they can’t find the culprits. In such cases, they pick up anyone around whom a credible story could be spun,” said Bhushan.

Cautioning that such victimisation could even result in wrong convictions if the victim did not have resources to fight for justice, he claimed that even if acquitted, the victims lose five to six years fighting the case and suffer from social stigma of being labeled a terrorist.

He blamed sections of media for sensationalising such stories.

“Some of the terrorism could also be result of such false victimisation. It won’t be surprising to say 2 percent of these victims turn to terrorism due to such atrocities,” Bhushan added.

The documentary, directed by Shubhradeep Chakravorty, portrays the hardships faced by seven Muslims who were wrongly accused of different terror incidents in the country, even after they were acquitted.

“Such documentaries put a human face to such stories and help create empathy in the public for such people,” said Bhushan.

Something is seriously wrong with this society, A change is necessary and the change is not possible until and unless we reform ourselves.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, Aameen.

Why Muslim youths are taken for granted by Police and Media?

As salaamu alaikum warahamatullahi wabarakatahu

There was a news recently on newspapers about Mohammad Amir Khan, named a terrorist and accused of involvement in 19 cases of bombings in Delhi, Rohtak, Sonepat and Ghaziabad between December 1996 and October 1997. By the time i finished reading his story i had tears in my eyes and I decided to do some reaserch on how Muslim youths are being tortured by police and media for no reason and Alhumdulillah today i came up with this post.

Indian Muslims are often accused of terrorist links, but in many cases it is Muslims themselves who are terrorised. S.M. Mushrif, former I.G.police writes in his book ” Who Killed Karkare?” that – whereas hundreds of Muslim boys were being arrested after every bomb blast in the country, the number of Blasts had not just reduced but after the arrest of the real terrorists in Malegaon Blasts case of 2008, they have almost completely stopped.

India’s Guantanamo Bays:

The media invariably base their stories on the sources of the state. An apt example is Praveen Swami, a terrorism expert cited by everyone writing about the IM. Swami is to print media what Arnab Goswami (of Times Now) is to Indian TV: Their views are rabidly nationalist, some might even say Islamophobic. Swami reproduces the police version (e.g. see his writings in CTC Sentinel, May 2010; The Hindu, Edit-Page, March 22, 2010; and Frontline, June 2-15, 2007) without giving the other side of the story, namely: the viewpoints of the alleged terrorists, their family members, or the Muslim community. It is well-known that the Indian police are biased against Muslims and have been complicit in killing them, as was evident in the state-mediated 2002 Gujarat violence, in which more than 5,000 Muslims were killed.

What is rarely visible in the Indian media, however, are the brutal, illegal methods used against suspected terrorists: torture cells, illegal detention, unlawful killings in “police encounters”; elimination of evidence against the illegal actions of the law-enforcing agencies; and rampant harassment of Muslims. In July 2009, The Week reported on the existence of at least 15 secret torture chambers meant to extract information from the detainees. The methods to extract information include attaching electrodes to a detainee’s genitals as well as the use of pethidine injections. To quote The Week, these chambers are “our own little Guantanamo Bays or Gitmos”, which a top policeman called “precious assets”.

In May 2008, a Muslim boy aged 14 was abducted by the Gujarat police. He was dragged to the police car at gunpoint and taken to a detention centre where he was tortured. He returned home ten days later when the court ordered his release following his mother’s petition. The police subsequently threatened the boy’s family with dire consequences if they pursued the case in court. The police harassment becomes even more acute in light of the fact that most lawyers often hesitate to take up the cases of “terrorists”. As a disempowered community – as the government-appointed Sachar Committee report (of 2006) minutely demonstrates – Muslims themselves don’t have adequate and qualified lawyers to pursue such cases. Muslims’ marginalisation thus renders their voice invisible in the media too.

Muslims are always labelled as Terrorists:

In the fight against terrorism, evidence and the rule of law are subservient to prejudice. As of this writing, the Indian government has not yet tracked the perpetrators of the July 13 attack. However, only two days after the attack, Subramanian Swamy, a prominent politician and former minister (with a doctorate from Harvard University) wrote an article called “How to Wipe Out Islamic Terror”. Without any evidence, he blamed Muslims for the attack, in the same way that The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Sun suspected Muslim involvement in the Norway shooting nine days later.

What Swamy did is standard practice in Indian media. In September 2006, a blast killed 35 people at a Muslim graveyard in Malegaon. The media blamed Muslims. Likewise, in 2007, after a blast killed 10 Muslims praying in Hyderabad’s Mecca mosque, Praveen Swami freely wrote about the Muslim terrorists he believed caused it and about what he perceived to be the “Islamist threat to Indian cities”. However, investigations later showed that Hindu nationalists carried out the Malegaon and Mecca mosque terror attacks.

Returning to Subramanian Swamy, Swamy wrote: “We need a collective mindset as Hindus to stand against the Islamic terrorist. The Muslims of India can join us if they genuinely feel for the Hindus. That they do I will not believe unless they acknowledge with pride that though they may be Muslims, their ancestors were Hindus”. Those refusing to acknowledge this, Swamy advocated, “should not have voting rights”. He proposed declaring India “a Hindu Rashtra [state]”.

From April 13 till April 22 2009, India witnessed repeated attacks on trains, killings of security forces in large numbers spread over six states and that involved at least five different terrorist groups, but nobody termed it terrorism.

None of these attacks including the daredevil strike on NALCO plant in which 11 security personnel were killed, was shown on TV. Footage was rare and not repeated. There was no talk about modules, identity of those involved and that how they get the weapons.

Believe me, had any of these attacks involved a Muslim, it would have been termed a Terrorist attack and for days, we would have been shown images of ‘trained Muslim youths’, their links, cell phone records, the masterminds, the names of obscure organisations with Arabic names and what not.

I would request you to just have a look at the frequency of attacks mentioned below:

1. 11 CISF personnel gunned down in Naxal attack on NALCO bauxite mine in Orissa (April 13)
2. Landmine blast kills 7 including five para-military force personnel and two passengers in Jharkhand, 12 others killed by Maoists in Bihar, Orissa and Maharashtra (April 16)
3. 1 killed, 18 injured as Barak Valley Express targeted by Jewel Garlosa militant group in Assam (April 9)
4. Two killed, dozen injured in attack on goods train in Assam (April 10) [Link]
5. ULFA targets Kamrup Express, two blasts on railway track (April 13)
6. CRPF DG’s chopper fired by suspected Maoists
7. Dima Halam Daoga group kills 7 including 6 policemen
8. Naxalites hijack train, hold 300 passengers hostage (April 22)
9. Convoy of 25 vehicles of Bodo leaders attacked by NDFB militants in Kokarajhar, three killed

Read the newspapers reports and you will find that the word terrorism was never used. Even the word militants was not used. Just like LTTE remains Tigers or Tamil rebels, the Naxals were called Maoists or left-wing extremists and the Assam groups termed as ULFA separatists or outlawed factions.

How many of us have heard the name of Black Widow group that killed seven persons North Cachar district? Headlines read, ‘Cops killed in fresh violence in Assam’. The news items are put in inside pages and the word terrorism is nowhere to be found.

If we talk about United Liberation Front of Asom or Assam (ULFA), In the last 30 years, nearly 8,000-10,000 persons have died in the region due to clashes between militants [or terrorists] who prefer themselves to be called as revolutionaries. The figure of deaths is perhaps second to only LTTE that is now nearing its end in Sri Lanka.

ULFA rebels believe that historically Assam was never part of India. Over the years, the organisation has carried out assassinations, killed security forces’ personnel and policemen apart from accusations of killing Hindi speaking labourers of UP and Bihar.

Though ULFA completed 30 years of its existence, no news channel focused on doing a comprehensive story or report about ‘Thirty years of Terrorism’. Over a quarter century has passed but it’s either mentioned as separatist outfit or rarely as militant group in mainstream media. Is it because Assam is way off Delhi or because there is no Muslim cadre in ULFA?

Kindly comment after reading the post properly. My issue is that on one hand an objectionable term ‘Islamic terrorism’ is used everywhere, other terrorists are not even called terrorists. ULFA, BODO, Naga, LTTE, Naxalites and Abhinav Bharat are not even called Terrorist.

I don’t want them to be termed as Hindu or Christian terrorist, but at least call them terrorist.

But they remain OUTLAWS, MAOISTS, REBELS or at the most EXTREMISIS and MILITANTS. That’s the basic issue. Is it that only a group that has Muslim cadre qualifies for the definition of Terrorist? Crores of Muslims aren’t fools, as they notice this prejudice every day.

Why terror suspects are always Muslims?

1. Talha, the son of Maulana Amir Rashdi Madani, was arrested in Nagpur. Midway on the train journey he was detained and taken away. After several days, it was revealed that he was in police custody and when he was released, he was reporteldy warned not to make any statement or go to the media.

He was working with a private company in Bangalore and the police had earlier claimed that he was the fourth ‘terrorist’ who escaped during the Jamia Nagar’s encounter. Later the court let him go due to lack of any evidence.

2. In the month of July 2011, just a few days before the recent Mumbai blast, a Muslim photo-journalist of Mid Group, Sayed Sameer Abedi, was detained for taking innocuous photographs of a traffic junction and an airplane. He was threatened, roughed up and even called a terrorist because of his Muslim name. According to a report in Mid Day, at the police station, when Sub-Inspector Ashok Parthi, the investigating officer in his case, asked him about the incident and he explained everything, emphasizing that he had done no wrong, he was told by the inspector, “Don’t talk too much, just shut up and listen to what we are saying. Your name is Sayed, you could be a terrorist and a Pakistani”.

3. Ataur Rahman, in his mid-sixties, lived in Mumbai with his family which included an engineer son who was an accused in the July 2006 Mumbai blasts.

At the tribunal, he had told, “My house was raided in the night and I was taken to an unknown destination. After keeping me in illegal custody for several days, I was formally shown to be arrested on July 27, 2006, and an FIR was lodged against me. Me, my wife, my daughter and daughter-in-law were paraded before my arrested sons while being abused by the police officers continuously. My sons and I were beaten up in front of each other. The women of the family were called up by the ATS daily and were asked to drop their burqah (veil) before my arrested sons. Adding to their humiliation, my sons were abused in front of the women folk. An officer beat me up and threatened me that the women of my family were outside and they would be stripped naked if I did not remove my clothes before my children and other police officers. They brought in other arrested accused and I was stripped naked in their presence…”

4. Amir khan, who had already been acquitted by the trial in 17 out of 20 cases, walked out free on January 9, 2012. Of the three remaining cases the Delhi High Court has overturned his conviction for life in one case. The remaining two are scheduled to come up for appeal.

TwoCircles.net was the first one (and probably the only one) to report story of Amir and Shakeel around one and half years back. As 18-year-old Mohammad Amir Khan walked to see a hakeem in Bahadurgarh on the night of February 20, 1998, his biggest worry was the kidney stones he had developed. Little did the teenager know that unforeseen problems were about to overtake his life in the next hour.

Named a terrorist and accused of involvement in 19 cases of bombings in Delhi, Rohtak, Sonepat and Ghaziabad between December 1996 and October 1997, Amir spent 14 years in different state jails. His family faced social shame and financial ruin, his father died of a liver ailment that could not be treated in time and his mother suffered a brain haemorrhage that left her paralyzed and speech impaired. one might ask, that how can it be that the police framed charges against a 19 year old boy, in not, 1, 2, 5 or 10, but 18 cases when they didn’t have even a single witness against the accused to prove the case against him.

Then there are serious questions like if Amir hadn’t done those 18 blasts, then who did? If the actual perpetrators of the blasts are being let scott free, as this and many other cases show, who will be responsible for the cycle of violence which resurfaces in another cycle of bomb blasts? What about the accountability of those officers who deliberately fabricate charges against people, specially in terror cases?

My Question?

In the post-blast scenario police and investigative agencies face a tough time dealing with the pressure of clamoring voices which call for bringing the culprits to book. Interestingly, even when just to deal with the pressure police picks up a few misidentified suspects, their arrest is not seen as wrong and illegal, but as some thing which fulfills the “collective conscience” of the society, which in turn justifies it as a balancing act and a compensation for the injustice done to the terror victims.

Saffron Terrorism or Hindutva Terrorism:

In 1992, the death of a Sangh Parivar worker during blast in the VHP office in Neemuch where bombs were being assembled, is hardly mentioned in media. But many would recall the blast during bomb-making in Kanpur when two Bajrang Dal workers had died a couple of years back.

Or for that matter the blast in Tamil Nadu’s Tenkasi. With the arrest of three RSS workers, the TN police had cracked the case and said that the aim was to spark communal rioting. The modus operandi was similar in parts of Malwa and Maharashtra.

Likewise in Nanded, the police had recovered fake beards and skullcaps from the house of RSS worker. This case was closed but reopened later by ATS under Hemant Karkare. Later during Malegaon and Modasa blasts also the motorcycle with Islamic stickers was placed deliberately to give a false impression that Muslim youths were behind the blast.

Besides, organisations ranging from Sanatan Sanstha to Abhinav Bharat who were alleged involved in blasts in Goa, Modasa, Thane, Nanded, Parbhani, Ajmer, Mecca Masjid at Hyderabad, Samjhauta Express and a host of other places, are ideologically close to Sangh Parivar with RSS activists’ role found in these cases.

In case of RSS, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena there is never any raid or sustained interrogation. Ram Sene leader Pramod Muthalik was caught on camera claiming that he could set off a communal riot for a fee but there was no action against his group.

Babu Bajrangi became a face of militant Hindutva in Gujarat and confessed that he murdered women and raped them. But he wasn’t touched.

While Muthalik and Bajrangi were active in states ruled by BJP, the Shiv Sena and MNS have done the same in Congress-ruled Maharashtra where outsiders including Biharis and UP-ites have been targeted and yet the parties escaped the terror tag.

The offices of these groups aren’t raided, their connections are never investigated and their leaders who openly pour out venom are not booked. It is no surprise that the radicals are getting bolder and bolder by the day, so much that they are even targeting Vice-President and planning to overthrow the state.

If SIMI operatives were involved in terrorism and it was banned, why not RSS and Bajrang Dal after all they also have their activists involved in terror plots? PFI’s freedom march was banned but despite open display of arms, firing gunshots and holding training camps for years, Bajrang Dal or even Sanatan Sanstha is not reined in.

Conclusion:

Terrorism to Islam is like Fire to Water so we need to stop blaming Muslims for Terror attacks as there is nothing called as Islamic Terrorism. And My Muslim brothers the below Ayah of Quran is sufficient for us…

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying “We believe” and that they will not be tested? We did test those before them and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false. (29:2-3)

Each believer, therefore, must expect to be tested. The stronger his faith, the harder will be the test, and the greater his reward will be if he remains patient having unshakable faith and trust in Allah (swt). The Prophet (p) said: The magnitude of the reward goes along with the magnitude of the affliction. (Tirmidhi)

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, Aameen.

Some Facts about Hinduism and Hindu Gods!

As salaamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)

Hinduism is commonly perceived as a polytheistic religion. Indeed, most Hindus would attest to this, by professing belief in multiple Gods. While some Hindus believe in the existence of three gods, some believe in thousands of gods, and some others in thirty three crore i.e. 330 million Gods. However, learned Hindus, who are well versed in their scriptures, insist that a Hindu should believe in and worship only one God.

The perception of God is the common Hindus’ belief in the philosophy of Pantheism. Pantheism considers everything, living and non-living, to be Divine and Sacred. The common Hindu, therefore, considers everything as God. He considers the trees as God, the sun as God, the moon as God, the monkey as God, the snake as God and even human beings as manifestations of God!

“The word ‘Hindu’ occurs nowhere in the classical scriptures of Hinduism. The ancestors of the present day Hindus did not identify themselves as Hindus.” “The word Hindu is not a religious word. It is secular in origin. It is derived from the word Sindhu, which is the name of a major river that flows in the northwestern region of the Indian subcontinent. The ancient Greeks and Armenians used to refer the people living beyond the river Sindhu as Hindus and gradually the name stuck. The Vedas, the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita, which today are seen by many as the religious texts of the Hindus, do not employ the word Hindu. That term was first used by the Achaemenid Persians to describe all those people who lived on or beyond the banks of the river Sindhu, or Indus.

The sacred books of Hinduism are four principal Vedas: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda and Atharvaveda, then Upanishads and the most popular amongst all the Hindu scriptures is the Bhagavad Gita.

There is also caste system in Hinduism where Manusmriti divides you into caste system for the benefits of Brahmins, which says Brahmins are created from his mouth, so Brahmins are on the top, Kshatriya was created from shoulders of Brahma so his duty is to fight for the protection of Brahmin, Veash was created from the stomach of the Brahma & his duty is to look after the account & farms of Brahmin. The fourth is SHUDRA the Dalits to whom Brahma has created from his toe, & his duty is cleaner or labour of Brahmin, Shudra has no rights. Manusmriti was banned recently after independence, But still in the minds of Brahmins it is there most of them dont allow shudras in their house mostly in Tamilnadu u can find it even today.

But The following verses from the Yajurveda echo a concept of God that God is one and has no images:

“na tasya pratima asti
“There is no image of Him.”
[Yajurveda 32:3]5

“shudhama poapvidham”
“He is bodyless and pure.”
[Yajurveda 40:8]6

“Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste”
“They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements” (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). “They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti.”
[Yajurveda 40:9]7

Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

“Na tvaam anyo divyo na parthivo na jato na janishyathe”
Oh God! There is nobody like you either in this world or the world beyond. No body equal to you is born as yet nor will be born ever in future also. (Yajurveda 27.36).

“Yekho Vishwasya bhuvanasya rajah”
The Lord of the entire universe is one and one only.(Rig-Veda 6.36.4)

It is so illogical that even though Vedas says that Idol worship is wrong most of the Hindus consider the trees as God, the sun as God, the moon as God, the monkey as God, the snake as God, the Cow as God and even human beings as manifestations of God!

The Holy Qur’an says: “If there were, in the heavens And the earth, other gods Besides Allah, there would Have been confusion in both! But glory to Allah, The Lord of the Throne:(High is He) above What they attribute to Him!” [Holy Qur’an 21:22]. If there were more than one God it would surely lead to confusion, disorder, chaos and destruction in the Universe. But the universe is in complete harmony.

Listen to a Revert Muslim who was a Born Hindu!

Why so many Gods in Hinduism when vedas says The Lord of the entire universe is one and one only and there is no second God?

Hinduism has many deities. This is much like ancient Greek and Roman religions. The god Brahma is the creator of the world. The god Vishnu who preserves the world through his many incarnations. The god Shiva will destroy the world which will be rebuilt by Brahma. In their Rig-Veda Book, we find prayers to some 70 objects, each serving as a deity. The concept of god Brahma is similar to the concept of Trinity in Christianity. The Brahma is responsible for all workings of the world and everyone is a part of him. Different gods are viewed as different aspects of him. (polytheism)

Gods have been considered as Supreme at different times, attributing the powers & qualities of one to another. Apart from Gods who have been attributed specific characteristics, several inanimate objects, qualities, emotions & various forms of nature had also been deified & worshipped.

Brahma – The God of Creation
Vishnu – The God of Maintenance
Krishna The Majestic
Siva – The God of Destruction
Saraswathi – Goddess of Wisdom – Consort of Lord Brahma
Lakshmi – Goddess of Wealth – Consort of Lord Vishnu
Parvathi – Goddess Sakthi – Consort of Lord Shiva
Ganesha – Son of Shiva & Parvathi
Muruga – Son of Shiva & Parvathi

There are few illogical and hard to believe stories of these Gods, for eg: Story of Ganesha: The most well-known story about Ganesh’s birth is probably the one taken from the Shiva Purana.

Once mother Parvati wanted to take a bath, there were no attendants around to guard her and stop anyone from accidentally entering the cave. Hence she created an image of a boy out of dirt and infused life into it, and thus a little boy was born. Parvati asked the boy not to allow anyone to enter the house, and the boy obediently followed his mother’s orders. After a while Shiva returned from outside, and as he tried to enter the house. Shiva came to meet Parvati and was stopped by the little boy. He told the little boy that he was Parvati’s husband, and demanded that he be let in. The little boy would not hear any person’s word other than his dear mother’s. So Shiva has a fierce battle with the little boy. The little boy was strong and rose up to the challenge and fought Shiva and held him back. At last Shiva severed the head of the little boy head with his trishula. When Parvati came out and saw her son’s lifeless body she asked that Shiva restore the boy’s life. A Brahma suggested that Shiva replace the boys head with the first living being that came his way which lay with its head facing north. Shiva then sent his celestial armies (Gana) to find and take the head of whatever creature they happened to find asleep with its head facing north. They found a dying elephant which slept in this manner, and after its death took its head, attaching the elephant’s head to the boy’s body and bringing him back to life. And thus Ganesha is Born.

Now points to be noted are why does goddess need bath? Goddess parvathi only wife of “so called Lord shiva” needs watchman while taking bath? When Parvathi created an image of a boy out of dirt and infused life into it, why cant her husband a God cannot Infuse a life into it ? Anyways, Lord Shiva who is a God can’t get life for which he killed ? how can such a god will resolve our problems ? If shiva did not know who comes to his home how will he know what happens to us in this world ?

Let us look into the story of Goddess Chamundeswari:

There was a demon in Mysore known as Mahi Sha Sura , he gets boon from Brahma who is creator of entire world after demon impresses so called Brahma with his meditation for many years.

Brahma asks demon what boon he wants ? demon seeks boon that he must be strongest on world and must live forever, none existing can kill him, brahma agrees and blessed this boon. Now this demon starts troubling entire world which includes other “so called gods”, saints as well, now all so called gods council meets to get a resolution for this demon, brahma says he cannot take back the boon , now shiva gives a solution that , so called god Vishnu should become a girl, Shiva Vs Vishnu will have intercourse, therecomes the product “so called Goddess Chamundeswari , she kills Brahma.

What a wild imagination ? so God can be fooled then ? so God can’t over power a demon ? what illogical belief is this.

The same analysis goes with so called God Ram in Ramayana, he was unable to save his own wife ? how could he protect us ? and Ram, after rescuing his wife Sita from the demon king Ravan, suspected that she could not have maintained her honour intact, and Sita, to prove her chastity had to take a test known as Agni pariksha. Do Gods doubt their wives? And a wife of God had to prove her chastity?

Quran says in Surah Muminun 23:91:
“No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!”

Hence, if there had been more than 1 God, those gods would have worshiped one another and would have competed with each other for dominance. This is not possible, since the definition of God is that he is the highest and none other is above him. He is the most powerful who is self sufficient. If there was more than 1 God, then those gods would have worshiped others, which contradicts the self sufficient nature of God.

So my Hindu brothers and sisters If you are a true follower of this sanathan dharma them abolish Idol worship, forget these 33 crore Gods, this Religion Hinduism is man-made, and the world is full of many man-devised idols of bizarre appearance. But only one God is God.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, Aameen.

Was Quran written by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?

As salaam alaikum (Peace be upon you)

Muslim or non-Muslim would argue that the only possible source of the Quran could be the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) the man responsible for reciting, teaching, and explaining it to the people of Arabia. This has led some thinkers and Orientalists to conclude that the Prophet (PBUH) must have written the Quran.

Those who believe that Prophet Muhammad  was the author of the Quran are absolutely wrong. However, merely saying that they are incorrect is not enough, without providing proofs. If we contemplate the nature of this glorious book (the Quran) and the capabilities of the Prophet  we will realize that these claims are illogical and groundless.

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was an Illeterate:

First, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was unlettered. How can an illiterate person come up with such a rich, intellectual, and inspiring text that gained acceptance not only in Arabia but also throughout the world?

All historical records available show that Muhummad (pbuh) had made only three trips outside Makkah before his Prophethood:
i. At the age of 9 he accompanied his mother to Madinah.
ii. Between the age of 9 and 12, he accompanied his uncle Abu-Talib on a business trip to Syria.
iii. At the age of 25 he led Khadija’s Caravan to Syria.
It is highly imaginary to assume that the Qur’an resulted from the occasional chats and meetings with the Christians or Jews from any of the above three trips.

The day-to-day life of the Prophet was an open book for all to see. In fact a revelation came asking people to give the Prophet (pbuh) privacy in his own home. If the Prophet had been meeting people who told him what to say as a revelation from God, this would not have been hidden for very long. The extremely prominent Quraish nobles who followed the Prophet and accepted Islam were wise and intelligent men who would have easily noticed anything suspicious about the way in which the Prophet brought the revelations to them – more so since the Prophetic mission lasted 23 years. The enemies of the Prophet kept a close watch on him in order to find proof for their claim that he was a liar – they could not point out even a single instance when the Prophet may have had a secret rendezvous with particular Jews and Christians. It is inconceivable that any human author of the Qur’an would have accepted a situation in which he received no credit whatsoever for originating the Qur’an. Thus, historically and logically it cannot be established that there was a human source for the Qur’an.

Science in Quran:

Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) never went to school! No one taught him. He had no teacher of any kind in any specific subject. How could he acquire the knowledge of Science, astronomy, Embryology, Hydrology, Geology, Sociology, Psychology, oceanography, Laws of nature and human behavior, including lots of scientific statements which came to be known only much recently. (For example, the mention of ocean currents, stars, earth, moon, sun and their fixed paths in Chapter Ar-Rahmaan; and many other scientific statements that are found in the Quran like Formation & role of the mountains, Shape of the earth, The falling star (the black holes), The Early History of Mankind.

Quran included correct scientific information on some incidents that are scientifically incorrect in the Bible (e.g. sun was created after the creation of earth Genesis 1:9-19 and vegetation was created before the Sun-Genesis 1:11-13, 14-19). had prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) copied the information from the Bible and corrected the mistakes before mentioning it in the Qur’an? In addition, Quran includes many statements, currently disproved such as claiming the Earth to be flat or that the Jews are descended from apes and pigs.

Word Repetitions in the Quran:

Apart from the miraculous characteristics of the Qur’an, it also contains what we can term “mathematical miracles.” There are many examples of this fascinating Qur’anic aspect. One example of this is the number of repetitions of certain words in the Qur’an. Some related words are surprisingly repeated the same number of times. Below is a list of such words and the number of repetitions in the Qur’an.

“Day (yawm)” is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms “days (ayyam and yawmayn)” together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word “month” (shahar) is 12.
The word “satan” (shaitan) is used in the Qur’an 88 times, as is the word “angels” (malaika).
The words “paradise” and “hell” are each repeated 77 times.
The number of times the words “Summer-hot” and “winter-cold” are repeated is the same: 5.
The words “benefit” and “corrupt” both appear 50 times.
“Sun” (shams) and “light” (nur) both appear 33 times in the Qur’an.
The words “man” and “woman” are also employed equally: 23 times.
The word “Justice” is mentioned 15 times and the opposite meaning “cruelty” is also mentioned 15 times.

The word “land” appears 13 times in the Qur’an and the word “sea” 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur’an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today.

Arabic Literature:

When the Quran was revealed, the Arabic language was at its peak in richness of expression and literature. The Quran came and challenged the best Arabic literature and poetry of that time. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) being illiterate, could not possibly have come up with something so miraculously immaculate that it even exceeded the best of poetry and Arabic literature at the time of the language’s peak development.

He had no reason to come up with something like the Quran, and cause the entire society of Arabia to become his enemy. Why would he do something like that? Why would he formulate something that went against almost all the norms of society, and lose his family, relatives, friends and other loved ones — not to mention his wealth and reputation?

The Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years — a very long time! Is it possible for someone to maintain the same exact style of speech, as demonstrated in the Quran, for over 23 years?

Moreover, the sayings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) are recorded in what Muslims call his ‘Ahadeeth’ (narrations). If we look at the style of the Hadeeth, and compare it with the style of the Quran, we can clearly see that they are different and distinguishable styles of speech. The Prophet (PBUH) spoke publicly — it does not make sense that a man has two unique, distinguishable and completely different styles of speech in public. This is another reason why Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) could not possibly have written the Quran.

Future events in the Quran:

Islam is based on faith and it is a religion supported by miracles, and one of the miracles granted to the Prophet (PBUH) was the knowledge of some of the future events which he attained through revelation. The holy Quran has these signs and much more.

For example, predicting the destruction of the Persian Empire at a time when the latter had a monumental victory over Rome. If the Prophet (PBUH) wrote the Quran, as some people claim, then he would have put his future in real jeopardy by making such a prediction. Neither satellite photos nor on-ground intelligence personnel were available to him at the time of revelation, yet later this prophecy came true.

Moreover, numerous details about many natural phenomena were detailed in the Quran, that were recently proven by experts to be amazingly accurate. For example, the physical development of the fetus inside the womb, along with the timing given by many verses, matches exactly what leading authorities in Embryology are claiming to be recent discoveries.

From the above, it is reasonable to conclude that the Quran is not the creation of the Prophet (PBUH). He had no way of predicting these events with such precision, especially when knowing that the Prophet (PBUH) himself was unlettered.

The Quran has no author, and no group or individual in Arabia has ever claimed to have written it, nor has any group or individual recited, taught, and explained the Quran before the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). After seeing all these proof and evidence can anybody stil claim that Quran was written by Prophrt Muhammad (PBUH)???

List of few Famous people Reverted to Islam!

As salaam alaikum (Peace be upon you)

The perception that the Western Media presents to the people about Muslims is that Muslims are black, poor, or uneducated. So, please examine this impressive list of converts to Islam, and you be the Judge!

Below a collection of converts’ stories which are enlightening, heart-warming and inspiring in equal measure. These new Muslims come from a variety of backgrounds. They include intellectuals, scientists, priests, Rabbis, missionaries, and artists, young and old, famous and laypersons, from around the globe. These testimonies only represent a drop in the ocean however, since every day hundreds of people convert to Islam all around the world. Amongst the most powerful and thought-provoking testimonies are those of former Christian priests and missionaries who have discovered the one true religion. This is a tremendous challenge to Christian missionaries. Instead of wasting around $6.8 billion each year  trying to convert poor and sick Muslims, they should concentrate their efforts on understanding Islam!

Priests, Rabbis, and missionaries reverted to Islam:

Dr. Gary Miller (Abdul-Ahad Omar) – Former missionary

G.R. Miller is a mathematician and a theologian. He was active in Christian missionary work at a particular point of his life but he soon began to discover many inconsistencies in the Bible. In 1978, he happened to read the Qur’an expecting that it, too, would contain a mixture of truth and falsehood.

He discovered to his amazement that the message of the Qur’an was precisely the same as the essence of truth that he had distilled from the Bible. He became a Muslim and since then has been active in giving public presentations on Islam including radio and television appearances. He is also the author of several articles and publications about Islam.

Dr. Jerald F. Dirks – Former minister (deacon) of the United Methodist Church:

Former minister (deacon) of the United Methodist Church. He holds a Master’s degree in Divinity from Harvard University and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Denver. Author of The Cross and the Crescent: An Interfaith Dialogue between Christianity and Islam (ISBN 1-59008-002-5 – Amana Publications, 2001). He has published over 60 articles in the field of clinical psychology, and over 150 articles on Arabian horses.

Rabbi Moisha Krivitsky of Makhachkala synagogue:

Every person has a different way of coming to the Truth. For Moisha Krivitsky this way led through a faculty of law, a synagogue and a prison. The lawyer-to-be becomes a Rabbi, then he converts into Islam and finds himself in prison. Today Musa (this is the name he has adopted when he became a Muslim) lives in a small mosque in Al-Burikent, a mountain area of Makhachkala, and works as a watchman in the Central Juma mosque.

Dr. Yahya A.R. Lehmann – Doctor of Theology & (Former Roman Catholic Priest Germany):

” By officially embracing Islam as the best fulfillment of the genuine Christian faith in the original Good Message (Gospel) of Jesus, foretelling Allah’s last universal Revelation through His greatest Messenger Muhammad in the divine Word of the Holy Quran, I had to repay my heavy spiritual debt to the many Muslim friends of mine in this country, who encouraged me by their word and example to choose for myself the Islamic Truth as the most positive directive force to a fuller individual life in submission to Allah’s guidance as well as towards the unification of mankind in fraternal fellowship and peace”.

Famous Personalities reverted to Islam:

UK Ex-Prime minister Tony Blair’s sister-in-law Lauren Booth

Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having a ‘holy experience’ in Iran.

Broadcaster and journalist Lauren Booth, Cherie Blair’s half-sister – said she now wears a hijab head covering whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque ‘when I can’.

Yvonne Ridley – British freelance journalist:

YVONNE Ridley made headlines when, following the September 11th attacks, she was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

While investigating for a story, the British freelance journalist had wandered into the hands of, what much of the world called the most brutal regime on earth. Freed after ten days of captivity, she returned home a public figure.

Almost two years after that, the multiple award-winning journalist and author again made news. On June 30, 2003, Yvonne accepted the faith of her captors — she became a Muslim.

Yvonne Ridley lives in Central London and is the author of two books “In the Hands Of the Taliban” (Robson Books), a factual account of her experiences and “Ticket To Paradise”, a fictional thriller with the real backdrop of 9/11 (Dandelion Books).

South African Cricketer Wayne Parnell:

South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell has converted to Islam after a period of personal study and reflection.
Parnell’s fellow players, reportedly said they believed that he is very serious about the conversion and had not ‘touched a drop of alcohol’ ever since he converted to Islam.
He is the second Christian cricketer to have converted to Islam after Pakistan’s Yousuf Yohana (now Mohammad Yousuf) in 2006.

It is really interesting to see these figures, isn’t it? Kevin Brice from Swansea University explains about revert muslims ‘They seek spirituality, a higher meaning, and tend to be deep thinkers.

Problem in the West is, people are stressed for superficial reasons, like what clothes to wear, etc. In Islam, everyone looks to a higher goal. Everything is done to please God. It was a completely different value system.

Kristiane Backer, who has written a book on her own spiritual journey, called From MTV To Mecca, believes the new breed of modern, independent Muslims can band together to show the world that Islam is not the faith I grew up in — one that stamps on the rights of women.

With a recent YouGov survey concluding that more than half the British public believe Islam to be a negative influence that encourages extremism, the repression of women and inequality, one might ask why any of them would choose such a direction for themselves. Yet statistics suggest Islamic conversion is not a mere flash in the pan but a significant development. Islam is, after all, the world’s fastest growing religion, and white adopters are an important part of that story.

All these reverted Muslims are bright and educated, and have thought long and hard before choosing to convert to Islam — and now feel passionately about their adopted religion. Good luck to them. May Allah be pleased with them.

May Allah make us understanding his deen and guide us all to the right path, Aameen.

Adam to Muhammad (PBUT): All Prophets were Muslims!

As salaam alaikum (Peace be upon you)

Many people have the misconception that Islam started about 1432 years ago, and that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the founder of the religion of Islam. In fact, Islam existed since man first set foot on this earth. “Submission” to God existed since man first set foot on Earth. Muhammad (PBUH) isn’t the founder of Islam, but the last and final messenger of Islam. The word “Islam” was first revealed to Muhammad (PBUH) by Allah, but the way of life of ”submission to God’s will” existed since time immorial. Islam is not merely a religion, but a way of life which in Quran it is described as a “deen.” Hence, all Prophets of Allah submitted their will to God and abide by the laws which they had to follow. They all preached this fascinating way of life of submission to God.

Are all the prophets of history Muslims??? From a Muslim standpoint: YES! Do Christians and Jews beleive this…. NO! Is this a big deal… YES! First let’s examine the standpoints of Christianity and Judaism and then the standpoint of Islam.

Judaism: Were all the prophets Jewish? No, though most of their prophets considered themselves Jews, their first prophet Abraham was not a Jew, he was around before Judaism officially exists, and one website about Jewish prophets says, “A prophet is not necessarily a Jew” (www.jewfaq.org/prophet.html) God sent prophet to gentiles as well… Is this a problem?? YES If Jews were the nation chosen by God and Judaism is the right religion under God why would God be sending messengers that weren’t of his faith? Since Judaism is a religion with two dimensions (nationality and religion) one who is not part of the nation chosen by God is not a Jew, so why is God sending forth prophets from an unchosen nation? It doesn’t make sense.

Christianity: Were all prophets Christian? NO, even Jesus(pbuh) himself wasn’t a Christian (as Muslim we beleive he was Muslim), Christians beleive he was a Jew, even as a Christian I knew Jesus(pbuh) wasn’t Christian. For anyone who’s curious Jesus couldn’t have been a Christian because a Christian is one who follows the teaching of Christ (Jesus pbuh) and beleives in his death and resurrection, so the only way Jesus could’ve been a Christian was after his death and resurrection, so if necessary I’ll grant that Jesus was a Christian for a couple of days (once he was resurrected, according to Christian theology) And all the prophets before Jesus were not Christian. So Christians base their faith on prophets who weren’t even of the same faith, they follow some rules from the old testament and others they ignore. It doesn’t make much sense to have a religion where most prophets aren’t even of that religion, does it??

A Jewish Professor Moshe Sharon Finally Admits All Prophets Were Muslim in below video…

Islam: Are all prophets Muslims? YES!! This can be very hard for some to wrap their head around (even some Muslims). I mean didn’t Islam only come into being in the 7th century? The answer is Yes and no, Muhammad (saw) brought the final revelation not the first, and certainly not the only. Though many people are correct in saying that the terms Islam and Muslim are rather recent, but just because one didn’t use the same terms to identify something doesn’t mean that it wasn’t the same thing. For example  Quebec (a province in Canada) originally Quebec was called New France, then Lower Canada, and now Quebec, but it is still the same mass of land, still the same place so when we talk about history of Quebec we don’t stop when it was called Lower Canada or New France, we go all the way back (even before that) and we recognize that even though it was functioning under a different name it was still Quebec. So we will do the same with Islam even though it wasn’t called Islam it was the same religion, because it was the worshipping of a single God who is ONE.

Prophet Noah was a Muslim:

Surah Araf 7:59: “We sent Noah to his people. He said: “O my people! worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful day!”

Noah warned his people about the punishment of the hereafter, and preached sumbission to one God, which is Allah. Similarly, Islam means sumbission to God, which is exactly what Prophet Noah did.

Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) was a Muslim:

Surah Imran 3:67: “Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to God’s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with God.”

Prophet Musa (Moses) was a Muslim:

Surah Yunus 10:84: “Moses said: “O my people! If ye do (really) believe in God, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His).”

Notice that Moses said in Surah Yunus 10:84 to believe in God if ye sumbit your will to God. Since Moses did believe in God, Moses did sumbit his will to God. Anyone who does this, is called a Muslim.

Prophet Isa (Jesus) was a Muslim:

Surah Imran 3:52: “When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: “Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?” Said the disciples: “We are Allah’s helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.”

Surah Maidah 5:117: “Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, ‘worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

Sahih Muslim, Book 30, Hadith Number 5835: “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: I am most akin to Jesus Christ among the whole of mankind, and all the Prophets are of different mothers but belong to one religion and no Prophet was raised between me and Jesus.”

So even though throughout history these prophets have been reffered to as Christian or Jew they were Muslims as they all spread the message that is essential to Islam, which is “There is only one God and we must submit to his will.” This is the only way that there are no inconsistincies, as the Jews say prophets were sent to Gentiles who weren’t Jews and the Christian prophets weren’t Christian, Islam is the only faith in which God has consistently sent messengers of the same faith, preaching the same message, since the beginning of time. We see Abraham (pbuh) submitting himself to God, when he is willing to sacrifice his son. We see Jesus (pbuh) before his death (as the Christians beleive he was crucified) saying: “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away form me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will,” (Mark 14:36).

But if they were indeed Muslims why was the word Muslim only used recently. One, is that Muslim is an Arabic word and Jesus (pbuh) and Abraham (pbuh), didn’t speak Arabic, though they did speak semitic languages and would be surprised if they used a similar sounding word to speak of submission to the one God.

Another reason is because the messages of prophets before Muhammad (saw) were distorted by man, which is why Allah sent Muhammad (saw), so that true message of all previous prophets could be restored. And as a side note people say all Muslims are monotheists, but not all monotheists are Muslim they are absolutely correct, because Muslims are the only ones who following the will of Allah and submitting to him (which is what Muslim and Islam mean), other faiths, though they may beleive in one God either ignore, or have distorted Allah’s message and are not submitting to him and hence are not Muslims. Also, you have to realize that the Message of Allah(SWT) was only completed once his final Prophet, Muhammad(peace be upon him), was sent. Allah(SWT) says in the Qur’an:

“This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour to you and chosen for you al-Islam as a religion.” [5:3]

Allah(SWT) gave a name to the religion of His slaves only after his message was complete, it wouldn’t make sense to just give a name without a complete message. As well as the fact that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was the only Prophet that sent the message to the whole of mankind while the other Prophets were just send the messages to their own people. The names Judiasm and Chrisitianity were names made by humans, but “Islam” and “Muslims” are names given to us and every beleiver in the One God by God Himself (Allah(SWT)

Hence, all Prophets submitted their wills to God, making them Muslims. All Prophets carried the main fundamental doctrine of Allah, that there is only one God and worship him alone, who has no images, idols, statues, etc. Other specific rulings back then were only meant for Prophets before Muhammad, for their time and for their own Prophets. Muhammad is the final Prophet of Allah, who bought the final teachings which are applicable to mankind today, to lead them from darkness to light.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path…Aameen.
